Fun Activities At School Ruined

Fun Activities At School
Ruined

BIRTHDAY TREATS
The school has banned birthday treats period.  They want you to bring stickers, erasers, pencils etc. which is not as fun as bring cupcakes, cookies etc.  The reason why they did it is because they don't want to be responsible if a kid eats something that he/she might be allergic to.  But wouldn't most kids know what they are allergic to?  Couldn't teachers send home a sheet to your family before your birthday so you could make sure that if you make/purchase something that it doesn't have that ingredient?  I think that kids should be allowed to express their happiness with giving out treats on you birthday.

HALLOWEEN
The school was not going to let the first graders this year dress up for Halloween.  Like who would do that?
They were going to let them dress in fall colors this year instead of costumes because of religion.  Not all people believe in Halloween or they don't dress up for Halloween so they wanted to punish the whole grade for that I guess.  Probably some parents had complained well actually a lot of parents probably complained because the week before their Halloween party they sent home a note saying they were aloud to wear costumes not to school but put them on during school.

VALENTINES
The PTO decided that the Valentines parties where you pass out cards/treats to the kids in their class to their "special" homemade box are not important anymore.  The only way that your class might do it is if your teacher decides that you can take about 30 min. of learning time out of your day to pass out candy.  It's not fair to all the classes that they decide to take that away because not all teachers want to take time of learning out of their day to do that.  You know how people will also pass out candy with their card usually?  Well I guess that is also taken away to because you can't even bring pass out treats on your birthday.  So what's the point anymore?

"SECRET SANTA"
They decided that most classes shouldn't do "secret Santa" because of religion so they call it now "secret snowman" instead.  Most classes still don't do that because they would rather call it "secret Santa" and that goes against religion on some peoples part.  They either don't believe in him, don't celebrate Christmas, or don't give presents.  So that ruined it for ALL of us.  Usually at school we don't exchange presents.  My teacher was nice enough this year to let us watch the Grinch and she gave us candy canes though :-)
